Adele Winteridge

With an honours degree in Interior Architecture, Adele graduated from Curtin University of Technology (Perth WA) in 2003 and has over 5 years professional experience designing retail and commercial interiors. During her studies and after graduating she worked in Perth for a boutique design firm, concentrating on small-scale retail projects and residential developments as well as large scale hotel/resort design. In 2005 Adele moved to Sydney and continued working in the commercial interior realm at Futurespace where she focused on design, documentation, FF&E selection and rolling out large-scale corporate fitouts. Notable projects include her design and project management for the restack of seven floors in the AAP Center George St for JP Morgan and the design / documentation of breakout and reception areas for Macquarie Bank.

In 2007 Adele headed the Interior Design programme at the Whitehouse Institute of Design. In addition to the rewards and challenges of teaching, the role gave Adele the opportunity to play an integral part in writing the curriculum for a Bachelor of Design degree for which the institute was accredited in 2008. Adele has also been responsible for organizing industry events and student projects with Designex, HVG, AWF, Albet Laminati, RRW, and the Salvation Army.

Adele has recently reduced her responsibilities at WID in order to continue and develop her professional design skills at LDA where she has been involved in concept design for Strandbags, and the design and documentation of stores for Simone Perele and Chantecaille. Adele is also currently studying for a Masters Degree in Sustainable Development at UNSW and is an accredited Greenstar professional.
